JVM: The JVM runtime library could not be found.

A copied from the first post: "I attempted upgrading our Windows 2008 R2 from Domino 8.5.2 FP2 to 8.5.3 this morning, but that didn't go too well :-("

This error message is a copy from the second post:
"JVM: The JVM runtime library could not be found.
JVM: Java Virtual Machine failed to start"
... and also: Traveler did not start... because Traveler needs JVM !

To resume:
- upgrade from Domino 8.5.2 to 8.5.3 failed with the Java error.
- I stopped Domino, restarted the server and upgraded Domino again.
---> This did it !

Copy form post #3: "Lotus really needs to examine why their installer reports these installs as successful. Better yet, make it so they don't fail in the first place."

Stig-Erik, Grant, Stan, thanks for sharing the post! It saved me a roll back (as I had to do with Notes 8.5.3)
